The Story of Islam in China:

China is located in the eastern part of Asia on the west coast of the Pacific Ocean. It shares borders with several countries: Afghanistan, Bhutan, Myanmar (Burma), Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Vietnam.

Chinese historians reported that the first introduction of Islam into China was in the days of the Tang Dynasty, which was contemporary to the time of Bi‘thah of Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, the reign of the rightly guided Caliphs, and the era of the ‘Umayyad Caliphate. Muslim traders who traveled to China reached it from the south during the days of the ‘Umayyad Caliphate, and settled in Canton. They established there a promising community and built mosques. The Chinese called them "Hui Hui".
