ok. As a start the one who wants to know what is Islam should read the Quran. Since such one does not know Arabic, then he/she needs to find a good translation of the meanings of the Quran. I recommend the transaltion called Sahih International. You can download it from the library of our site. Second he/she needs to read book that tells what Islam is. Third, read about the life of the Prophet of Islam to realize that he was really a messenger of God. Fourth, mix with Muslims and try to understand what they believe in and how they practise Islam. Pray to Allah to guide you to the truth and read the stories of those who convert to Islam. There must be a reason for their acceptance of Islam. You need to know it, feel it, and live it.
