The virtue of charity, its conditions and types of charity. In the name of God, praise be to God, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and all his family and companions. The Virtue of charity in the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet This is a set of legal texts to urge charity, and we ask God Almighty to benefit from it, and to write a reward for you. God Almighty said: {O you who have believed, spend out of what We have provided you with before there comes a day in which there is no sale in which there is no sale} [Al-Baqarah: 25]. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): Who spend their money in the way of God and then do not follow what they spent and harm to them with their Lord and not fear them and they are grieving} [Cow: 261-262]. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): And God Almighty said: {Believe in God and His Messenger, and spend from that which He made you heirs therein. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “He who gives in charity the equivalent of a date from good earnings - and God accepts only what is pure — and God accepts it with His Right Hand, then raises it for its owner as one of you raises his colt until it is like a mountain.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari [1344]), (and Muslim [1014]). Feloh: his little pony. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “There is no day in which the servants wake up but two angels descend, and one of them says: O God, give a successor to the one who spends, and the other says: O God, give the one who is holding back damage.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari [1374]), (and Muslim [1010]). On the authority of Abu Saeed al-Khudri, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, went out - on the day of Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr - to the prayer hall, then he left and preached to the people and ordered them to give alms. People of Hell....” When he reached his house, Zainab, the wife of Ibn Masoud, came to ask permission for him. It was said: O Messenger of God, this is Zainab. He said: “Which Zayanab?” It was said: The woman of Ibn Mas’ud. He said: “Yes, give her permission.” So he gave her permission, and she said: “Oh, Prophet of God, you commanded charity today, and I had jewelry for me, so I wanted to give it in charity.” Ibn Masoud claimed that he and his son are more deserving of those whom you gave alms to them, so he said. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Ibn Masoud has spoken the truth. (Narrated by Al-Bukhari [1393]) (and Muslim [80]). On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “God said, “Spend, O son of Adam, I will spend on you.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari [5073]), (and Muslim [993]). The concept of ongoing charity and its importance Current charity is the endowment, and it is mentioned in the hadith of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “When a person dies, his work is cut off except for three: ongoing charity. » (Narrated by Muslim [1631]). Al-Nawawi, may God have mercy on him, said, explaining this hadith: “Ongoing charity is endowment.” End. (Sharh Muslim [11/85]). Al-Khatib Al-Sharbiny, may God have mercy on him, said: “Ongoing charity is predicated by the scholars on the endowment, as Al-Rafi’i said, because other charity is not ongoing.” (Mughni Al-Muhtaaj [3/522] - [523]). Ongoing charity is that whose reward continues after the death of a person, and as for charity whose reward does not continue - such as giving charity to the poor with food - it is not ongoing charity. Based on this: The breaking of the fast for the fasting people, sponsoring orphans and caring for the elderly - even if it is charity - but it is not ongoing charity, and you can contribute to building a home for orphans or the elderly, so it will be an ongoing charity, the reward of which is for you as long as that house is used. The types of ongoing alms and their examples are many, including: building mosques, planting trees, digging wells, printing and distributing the Qur’an, and spreading beneficial knowledge by printing and distributing books and tapes. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "What is the believer and his wish after his death. , or a charity that he took out of his money during his health and his life, it will join him after his death.” (Narrated by Ibn Majah [Al-Munzir [No. 78]. It was classed as hasan by Al-Albani in (Sahih Ibn Majah), and see the answer to question No. (69884) and (43101). And the Muslim should enumerate the spending of his alms, so that he will have a share of the reward with the people of each obedience, so that you make part of your money to provide breakfast for the fasting people, another part to sponsor the orphan, and a third to the home for the elderly, and a fourth to contribute to building a mosque, and a fifth to distribute books and the Qur’an… and so on. Doubling the reward for charity Charity is magnified and doubled in cases, including: [1]- If it is a secret. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Seven remains them in the shadow of a day. [2]- If the need of the poor is great. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The most beloved of deeds to God, the Most High, is the joy that brings him to a Muslim, or removes his distress. Or pay him a debt, or drive him away by starvation.” (Narrated by al-Tabarani in al-Kabeer [13646]) and classed as hasan by al-Albani. [3]- If he hastened with it when money became available, or he hastened with it, then spend it before his death and before dying. On Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: "A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) You said to so-and-so, and so-and-so, and it was to so-and-so.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari [1419]) [4] - If it is for a relative, and it increases in grace with the severed ties of kinship. The one who harbors enmity]” (Narrated by Ahmad [23530]) and authenticated by Al-Albani. [5]- If he spends it when he is in need and prefers others with it, as long as it does not harm those who spend on them unless they agree with him. They find them in their chests and need themselves and affect themselves, even if they were a cling and it is the same. “It is enough sin for a person to forfeit one who has been sustenance.” (Narrated by Abu Dawood [1692]) and classed as hasan by al-Albani, and it is in (Sahih Muslim [996]) in the same way. Al-Baghawi said in (Sharh al-Sunnah [9/342]) “And it is a statement that a man has no right to give in charity that is not better than the food of his family in order to seek reward for it. [6]- If it is in virtuous times and places. Ibn Abbas said: “The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was the most generous of people, and he was the most generous during Ramadan” (Bukhari [6]). [7]- If the impact of charity on the general Muslims is great, such as spending in the way of God. About Abi Amama said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The best alms have remained lost and a servant for the sake of Allah, or a servant in the way of Allah, or a dream," he said. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was asked: “Which charity is best?” He said: “Waiting water” (Narrated by Al-Nasa’i [3664]) and classed as hasan by Al-Albani. It came in (Fayd al-Qadeer - by al-Manaawi - [2/37]) al-Tibi said: “But it was better because it is more beneficial in religious and worldly rewards...” End. [8]- Spousal expenditure of the same type. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever spends two spouses in the way of God, he will be called from the gates of Paradise: O servant of God, this is the best of al-Bukhari” [97] (Narrated by al-Bukhari 18). [9]- If it is combined with charity, fasting, funeral witnesses and visiting the patient. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said about these four: “No one will meet together except that he will enter Paradise” (Narrated by Muslim [1028]). [10]- Charity from the pious world. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said. [11]- If it is loved by its owner. The Encyclopedia of Kuwaiti jurisprudence [26/336]: "Atiminating in charity, he was confident of any: money given from the finest money of the Mistake and I love him, Allaah says. } [Al Imran: 92] Al-Qurtubi said: The predecessors, may God be pleased with them, used to, if they loved something, they would give it to God Almighty. End. [12]- Spending on parents. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said. [13]- Giving alms according to what the Legislator stipulated in its place and time, such as the sacrifice, which is better than giving its price in charity. [14]- If the charity is ongoing until after death, even if it is said; Because if something continues and connects with many and greatness. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said. Second: It is better for a person to take the initiative to pay whatever he wants in charity, so that he will receive the reward immediately. And if he is quick to give in charity, he will be safe from two evils: The first: death that stops him from working. Second: His intention to give charity. The Almighty said: {And the forerunners are the forerunners. It is those who are close to them.” [Al-Waqi’ah: 10-11]. And the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “I am not pleased that I have the like of Uhud. This is gold, it goes to me for the third time, and in a narration by Al-Bukhari: “The night of the third” [62 or 68]. I have dinars, only something I wanted for religion, but to say in the worship of God, so and so and so, about his right, and his north, and he left, and then he was said: its north and behind it, and they are few.” (Al-Bukhari [6444]). Charity on behalf of the dead The people of knowledge agreed that supplication And seeking forgiveness, charity and pilgrimage up to the dead. As for supplication and seeking forgiveness, it is for God Almighty’s saying: {And those who came after them say, “Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who went before.” If you pray for the dead, pray sincerely for him.” As for charity, it has been proven in the two Sahihs on the authority of the Mother of the Believers Aisha, may God be pleased with her: “A man said to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that my mother turned herself aside and did not give a will. It was narrated by Al-Bukhari with No. [1388]), (and Muslim with No. [1004]), and it was proven in Al-Bukhari on the authority of Saad bin Ubadah: “His mother died while he was absent. He said: O Messenger of God, my mother died while I was absent. Will it benefit her if I give alms on her behalf?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “I testify to you that the two walls of lambs are charity on her behalf.” (Bukhari narrated it with No. [2756]). As for Hajj, he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said to whomever you asked about Hajj: “Do you think that if your mother owed a debt, I would pay it off?” She said: Yes. He said: “A debt.” God is more deserving of judgment.” (Bukhari, No. [6699]), (and Muslim No. [1148]). From the foregoing, it has been learned that charity on behalf of the dead benefits him and its reward reaches him. Sheikh Ibn Baz said: “Charity benefits the dead, and it is hoped for the charitable person like the reward that gets to the dead.” ; Because he is a benefactor and benefactor, so there is hope for him like what he did, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “He who guides to something good will have a reward similar to that of the one who does it.” So if a believer calls for good, or does good in others, he will be hoped for something like his reward. If he gives charity on behalf of his father, his mother, or What is similar to that, the one who gives charity on his behalf will have a reward, and the giver will have a reward.” We ask God Almighty to make us among the charitable and doers of charity, and God Almighty is higher and knows best, and praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon our Master Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, his family and all his companions, and those who follow him in goodness until the Day of Judgment.
