دليل المسلم الجديد - (8) الصلاة وأهميتها The New Muslim's Guide - (8) Prayer and its importance
In the name of God, praise be to God, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and all his family and companions. The muslim must know that Prayer is the greatest practical pillar of Islam, and it is the separation between a Muslim and an unbeliever, as it came in the hadith of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, who said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Between a man and polytheism and infidelity is leaving prayer.” (Narrated by Muslim [82]). Whoever truly believed in God Almighty and His Messengers, may blessings and peace be upon them, and His Books, and truly believed in the obligation of prayer and that it is the greatest pillar of Islam after the two testimonies, it was not imagined that he would abandon prayer or be negligent in performing it. And the more a person’s faith increases, the more he becomes interested in what God Almighty has imposed upon him, and that is part of his faith as well. Therefore, the way that makes you one of those who maintain prayer is summarized as follows: First: to firmly believe in its premise and that it is the greatest of the pillars of Islam, and to know that the one who abandons it is threatened by a severe threat, An infidel outside Islam, according to the most correct of the two scholars’ sayings; There are many evidences, including his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: “Between a man and polytheism and unbelief is the abandonment of prayer” (Narrated by Muslim [82]). And his saying: “The covenant that is between us and them is prayer, so whoever abandons it has disbelieved.” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi [2621]) (and Al-Nasa’i [463]) (and Ibn Majah [1079]), (and authenticated by Al-Albani in Sahih Al-Tirmidhi). Second: To know that delaying it is a major sin. For He, the Most High, says: {There came after them a successor who neglected prayer and followed lusts, so they will encounter mischief} [Maryam: 59]. Ibn Masoud said on the authority of al-Ghi: A valley in Hell, far from the bottom, with an evil taste. And the Almighty’s saying: “So woe to the worshipers. Those who are neglectful of their prayers} [Al-Ma’un: 4-5]. Third: To be keen to perform the prayers in the congregation of the mosque, not to neglect one of them, realizing that prayer in the university is obligatory according to the soundest of the two scholarly opinions, due to many evidences, including the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: “Whoever hears the call and does not come to it, there is no prayer for him unless he has an excuse.” » (Narrated by Ibn Majah [793] and Al-Dar Qatni and Al-Hakim and graded it authentic, and Al-Albani graded it authentic in Sahih Ibn Majah). Muslim [653] narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah who said: A blind man came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, “Oh, Messenger of God, I do not have a leader to lead me to the mosque.” So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, asked him to grant him permission to pray in his house. “Do you hear the call to prayer?” He said, “Yes.” He said, “Then answer.” In addition to other evidence. 24 111,367 posts
