Prayer and its importance In the name of God, praise be to God, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and his family and all his companions. God Almighty loves to be asked, and He desires Him in everything, and He is angry with those who do not ask Him, and He summons His servants to ask Him, God Almighty said: {And your Lord said: Call upon Me; And supplication in the religion has a high and lofty position, until the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Supplication is worship” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi [3372]), (and Abu Dawood [1479]), (and Ibn Majah [3828]) and it was authenticated by Al-Albani in (Sahih Al-Tirmidhi] 2590]) And on the authority of him, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that he said: “Nothing is more honorable to God than supplication.” Al-Albani graded it as good as in (Sahih Sunan al-Tirmidhi, No. Hasan by Al-Albani (See: Sahih Sunan Al-Tirmidhi No. [2686]). Imam Ibn al-Qayyim, may God Almighty have mercy on him, said: “Supplications and invocations are like a weapon, and the weapon is with its strike, not only with its sharp edge. So when the weapon is a complete weapon without harm, and the forearm is a strong aid, and the deterrent is missing, the enemy will suffer. And when one of these three fails, he fails. Effect” (The Disease and the Remedy [p. 35]). Conditions and etiquette of supplication [1]- That the caller be united with God Almighty in his lordship, divinity, names and attributes, and his heart is filled with monotheism. He called, so let them respond to me and believe in me, so that they may be guided) [Al-Baqarah:186]. [2]- Sincerity to God Almighty in supplication, God Almighty said: {And they were not commanded except to worship God, being faithful to Him in religion, one in integrity} [Al-Bayinah: 5], and supplication is worship, as the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said is a condition for acceptance, and sincerity is a condition for it. [3]- To ask God Almighty by His Beautiful Names, God Almighty said: {And to God belong the Most Beautiful Names, so invoke Him by them and leave those who deviate in His Names: 180} [4] - praise God before praying what is his family, narratives [3476] about the virtue of ibn Obaid may Allah be pleased with him. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): "Hurry, if you pray. He greeted, then let him do whatever he wanted. He said: "Then he prayed another man after that, thank God for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said. [5]- Sending blessings upon the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Every supplication is veiled until you pray to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.” Narrated by al-Tabarani in (Al-Awsat [1/220]), and Sheikh Al-Albani graded it as authentic in (Sahih). The whole [4399]). [6] - Qibla receiver, Muslim narrated [1763] about Omar ibn al-Khattab may Allah be pleased with him. The kiss and then extended his hands. " the talk. Al-Nawawi, may God have mercy on him, said in the explanation of Muslim: “It is recommended to face the qiblah in supplication, and to raise the hands in it.” [7] - Raising the hands, narrated Abu Dawood [1488] on Salman may Allah be pleased with him. "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:" The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him. In (Sahih Abi Dawood [1320]). And the palm of the palm to heaven on the status of the poor student is expected to be given. Al-Albani in (Sahih Abi Dawood [1318]). Does he include his hands when he raises them or makes a gap between them? Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, may God have mercy on him, stated in (Al-Sharh Al-Mumti’ [4/25]) that it should be attached. The text of his words: “As for the separation and the spacing between them, I do not know of a basis for it, neither in the Sunnah nor in the words of the scholars.” Ended. [8]- Belief in God Almighty with the answer, and the presence of the heart; Because the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Call upon God while you are certain that He will be answered, and know that God does not respond to a supplication from a heart that is unaware of it.” [Al-Tarwehah, 66] [9]- A lot of questioning, so the servant asks his Lord for what he wants from the good of this world and the hereafter, and the urgency in supplication, and the lack of urgency in the response, because the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The servant is answered as long as he does not supplicate with a prayer.” If there is no urgency, it was said: O Messenger of God, what is urgency? He said: He says: I have prayed, and I have prayed, but I did not see a response to me, so he grieves at that at that time.” [Al-Bukhari and Ad-Dua’a’ 63:40) [10]- Definitely about it, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “None of you should say: O God, forgive me if you wish. 2679]). [11] - Plaza, rehearsal, desire and awe, God said: Your Lord is within yourself in supplication and in fear, and without speaking out aloud, in the morning and in the evening.” (Al-A’raf: 205). [12] - Duaa Three, Narrated by Al-Bukhari [240], and Muslim [1794] about Abdullah bin Masoud may Allah be pleased with him. Ignorance: I do not know what to do with Muhammad if you find, I will find the best of the people. " The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) appeared. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him? His links raise his voice and then called on them if he called three times, and if he asked three times. Rabia and Shiites Ben Rabia and the goddess bin Akba and Iman bin Khalaf and Aqba bin Abi Muayit. " [13] - The food and clothing, Muslim narrated [1015] about Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him. He said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: He said: "Oh, the apostles, who are all those who are good and work, I am what you do," he said, "Hey, who believe, all those who believe, do not say," The man lengthen the travel is shaggy. " And his drink is forbidden, and his clothing is forbidden, and he is nourished with the forbidden, so how will that be answered.” Ibn Rajab, may God have mercy on him, said: The reason for his wearing and drinking is lawful. [14]- Concealing the supplication and not speaking out loudly, God Almighty said: {Supplicate your Lord in humility and in secret} [Al-A’raf: 55], and God Almighty praised His servant Zakaria, peace be upon him, by saying: {When he called to his Lord} [Nidaa:3]. [15]- He should not be distracted by supplication about an obligatory matter such as a present obligation, or he should abandon the right of a parent on the pretext of supplication. Perhaps in the story of Greg Al-Abed there is an indication of that when he left the answer to his mother’s call and came to his prayer, so she prayed for him and God Almighty tested him. Al-Nawawi, may God have mercy on him, said: “The scholars said: This is evidence that it was correct in his right to answer it, because it was in a supererogatory prayer, and continuing with it is voluntary, not obligatory, and answering the mother and her honoring is obligatory, and disobeying her is forbidden…” Sahih Muslim with the explanation of al-Nawawi [16/82]. For more information, see the book of Supplications for Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Hamad. [16]- Avoid transgression in supplication, as the Almighty does not like transgression in supplication. The Almighty said: {Supplicate to your Lord in humility and in secret} [Al-A’raf: 55]. [17]- Have a good opinion of God Almighty. He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: God Almighty says: “I am as My servant thinks of me” (Bukhari [7405]), (and Muslim [4675]) and in the hadith of Abu Hurairah: “Pray to God and you are certain of the answer.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, classed as hasan by Al-Albani in Sahih Al-Jami’ (245). Whoever thinks of his Lord as good, may God bless him with abundant bounties, pour out his beautiful favors upon him, spread upon him the merits of his honors, and make him most generous of his gifts. The places and times for supplications to be answered The times and places for the supplications to be answered are very many, and here are a few of them: [1]- The Night of Decree. He said: Say, “Oh God, you are a pardon and you love to pardon, so pardon me.” [2]- Supplication in the dead of the night, which is the time of magic and the time of the divine descent, for He, Glory be to Him, is kind to His servants, and He descends to fulfill their needs and relieve their distress, so He says: “He who calls upon Me, and I respond to him, who asks of Me, I give him, who seeks forgiveness from Me, that I forgive him” (Bukhari [1145]). [3]- Arrange the written prayers and in a hadith Abi Umama: It was said, O Messenger of God, which supplication do I hear? He said, “The last twilight of the night, and arrange the written prayers.” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi [3499]) and Al-Albani graded it as good in Sahih Al-Tirmidhi. There was a difference of opinion regarding the direction of the prayers, is it before the salutation or after it? And the Sheikh of Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and his student Ibn al-Qayyim chose that before the salutation, Ibn Taymiyyah said: “He managed everything from it like the back of an animal.” Al-Ma’ad added [1/305], and Sheikh Ibn Uthmin said: “Whatever supplication is restricted to the direction of prayer, it is before the salutation. From the remembrance is tied to the back of the prayer, it is after the prayer, because of the Almighty’s saying: {And when you have completed the prayer, then remember Allah standing, sitting, and lying on your sides} [Al-Nisa’-Kitab al-Du’aa: 54] on the authority of the Prophet. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The supplication between the call to prayer and the iqaamah is not rejected” (Narrated by Abu Dawood [521]), (and al-Tirmidhi [212]), and see Sahih al-Jami’ [2408]. [5]- When the call to the written prayers and when the rows are joined in The battle is as in the marfoo’ hadith of Sahel bin Saad: “Two people do not reject, or they rarely refuse supplication when the call is made and when there is strength when they weld each other.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and it is authentic. Ibn Sa`d, referred to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: “Two things are not rejected: supplication at the call and under the rain.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and authenticated by Al-Albani in Sahih Al-Jami’ [3078] [7]- in S. night, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “In the night there is an hour when a Muslim does not ask for the good of this world and the hereafter unless it is given to him, and that is every night” (Narrated by Muslim [757]). [8]- The hour on Friday. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, mentioned Friday and said: “There is an hour in which a standing Muslim slave who prays and asks God Almighty for something does not give it to him,” and he gestured with his hand to reduce it. (Narrated by Al-Bukhari [935]), (and Muslim [852]). [9]- When drinking Zamzam, it was narrated that Jabir, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Zamzam water is for what it is drunk for.” Narrated by Ahmad and authenticated by Al-Albani in Sahih Al-Jami’ [5502]. [10]- In prostration, he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “The slave is closest to his Lord when he is prostrating, so make supplications a lot” (Narrated by Muslim [482]). [11]- When you hear the rooster’s crowing of a hadith: “If you hear a rooster crow, ask God for His bounty, for it has seen an angel” (Bukhari [2304]), (and Muslim [2729]). [12]- When supplicating with “There is no god but You, Glory be to You, I was one of the unjust.” No Muslim man supplicates with it for anything except that God responds to him.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and authenticated in Sahih Al-Jami’ [3383] Al-Qurtubi said in the interpretation of the Almighty’s saying: I was one of the wrongdoers. So We responded to him and saved him from distress, and likewise we deliver the believers” (Al-Anbiya: 87-88). He said, may God have mercy on him: In this verse, God made a condition for the one who called him to answer him as he answered him and save him as he saved him, which is his saying: {Thus we deliver the believers} the collector of the provisions of the Qur’an [11/334]. [13]- If a calamity befalls him, he calls with “We belong to God, to Him we shall return. He said: “There is no Muslim who is afflicted by a calamity and says what God has commanded him: We belong to God and to Him we shall return. [14]- People’s supplication after taking the soul of the dead. In the hadith that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered upon Abu Salamah with his eyes open and he closed it, then he said: “If the soul is caught, the sight follows it, so people from its family roared and said: Do not pray for yourselves except for good; The angels believe in what you say.” (Narrated by Muslim [2732]). [15]- The supplication for the sick: Muslim [919] narrated on the authority of Umm Salamah, may God be pleased with her, that she said: He, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “If you attend the sick, say good, for the angels believe in what you say..” She said: When Abu Salama died I came to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and said: Abu Salamah has died, and he said to me: “So say, O God, forgive me and him and follow me from him.” She said: “So I said, “God followed me who is better for me than him, Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.” [16]- The supplication of the oppressed and in the hadith: “Beware the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no veil between it and God” (Bukhari [469]), (and Muslim [19]) and he said, peace and blessings be upon him: “The supplication of the oppressed is answered, even if he is an immoral person; His immorality is against himself.” (Narrated by Ahmad and see Sahih Al-Jami’ [3382]). [17]- A father’s supplication for his child - that is: for his benefit - and the supplication of a fasting person on the day of his fast, and the supplication of a traveler. It was authentically reported from our Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, that he said: “Three supplications are not rejected: the supplication of a father for his child, the supplication of a fasting person and the supplication of a traveler” (Al-Bayhaqi narrated it in Sahih al-Jami [2032]), (and in al-Sahihah [1797]). [18]- The supplication of the father against his child - that is: for his harm - in the authentic hadith: “Three supplications are answered: the supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of the parent against his child” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi [1905]), and see Sahih al-Adab al-Mufrad [372]. [19]- A righteous child’s supplication for his parents, as stated in the hadith narrated by Muslim [1631]: “If the son of Adam dies, his deeds are cut off except for three: ongoing charity, a righteous child who prays for him, or knowledge that benefits him.” [20]- Praying after the sun has passed its zenith before noon. It was narrated that Abdullah bin Al-Sa’ib, may God be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of God used to pray four rak’ahs after the sun had passed before noon, and he said: “It is an hour in which the gates of heaven are opened, and I like that a good deed ascend for me in it” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi). It is a valid chain of transmission. See Takhreej Al-Mishkat [1/337]). [21]- Supplication upon awakening at night and saying the supplication mentioned in that, for he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Whoever wakes up (i.e.: wakes up) from the night and says: There is no god but God, the One, He has no partner, For the king and praise be to all things, and he is for all things, Praise be to Allaah. (Narrated by Al-Bukhari [1154]). Impediments to the answer to the supplication [1]- That the supplication is weak in itself, because it involves transgression or bad manners with God Almighty, and transgression is asking God Almighty what it is not permissible to ask, such as supplicating for a person to immortalize him in this world or supplicating with a sin or forbidden Or pray for the soul, death, and so on. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The servant is still answered as long as he does not supplicate for a sin or a severing of ties of kinship” (Narrated by Muslim). [2]- That the one who supplicates be weak in himself, due to the weakness of his heart in turning to God Almighty. As for bad manners with God Almighty, its example is raising the voice in supplication, or the supplication of God Almighty and Majestic, the supplication of the one who dispenses with it, or being obstinate with the pronunciation and being distracted by it from the meaning, or crying and shouting without its presence and exaggeration in that. [3]- That what prevents the answer from being answered is: falling into something forbidden by God, such as forbidden money, food, drink, clothing, housing, vehicle, and income from forbidden jobs, and such as sinning against the hearts, heresy in religion and the seizure of negligence on the heart. [4]- Eating forbidden money, and it is one of the biggest obstacles to the answering of supplication. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “O people, God is good and only accepts what is good, and God has commanded the righteous.” What is the messengers said: He stretches out his hands to the sky, O Lord, O Lord, and his food is forbidden, his drink is forbidden, and he is nourished with the forbidden, so how can he respond to that!!” (narrated by Muslim). So, the man mentioned by the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, had some things that helped him answer, such as being a traveler who lacked God Almighty, but the response was blocked because he ate haram money. We ask God for safety and wellness. [5]- Haste in answering and bemoaning the abandonment of supplication. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “One of you will be answered as long as he does not hurry. He says: I prayed but he did not respond to me” (Bukhari and Muslim). [6]- Suspending the supplication, such as saying, “Oh God, forgive me if you wish.” Rather, the supplicator must be firm in his supplication and find, strive, and persist in his supplication. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “None of you should say, ‘O God, forgive me if you wish, O God, have mercy on me if you wish.’” To resolve the issue, for he is not reprehensible to him.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim). We ask God Almighty to help us to persevere in supplication and to respond to us, and He is the best of the Lord and the best helper, and God is Most High and knows best, praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon our Master Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and his family and companions all, and those who follow him in goodness until the Day of Judgment.
